Once you arrive into Padang airport a Barrenjoey representative will be there to meet you and transfer you directly to the boat or to a restaurant if you arrive early morning. Upon arrival to the boat you are welcomed aboard, briefed on safety procedures and a plan is discussed for the trip. That evening we’ll set sail from Padang harbour and head towards the islands. Steaming overnight we try to arrive at the first surf break at dawn.

Throughout your stay our main objective is to put you into the best waves on offer with the least surfers in the lineup. With over 20 years experience of operating in the region we have built up great public relations with other service providers and it’s common practice for us to trade surf sessions with other boats to minimise surfers in the water at one particular time.

We have the advantage of one of the fastest tender boats in the fleet, The Bynda Laut. There is plenty of room for 10 surfers with equipment and the vessel is capable of at least 30 knots. Good for covering a wider playing field of breaks and not to forget deep sea fishing missions with Captain Selamat. A second tender is also available to help ferry guests to and from the breaks.

Our formula of surf, eat and sleep has been perfected over the years and nothing gives us more pleasure than retuning tired, stoked guests back to Padang harbour on departure days.
